Your guide to setting up, using, and optimising Samsung's QBC and QMC series commercial signage displays.

QBC: Crystal UHD · Indoor Signage QMC: Premium UHD · Mission-Critical OS: Tizen 7.0

🔵 QBC Series

Slim indoor signage for retail, offices, and hospitality. Sizes 13"–98". Landscape or portrait. Ideal for general commercial environments.

🟢 QMC Series

Premium signage with non-glare panel for high-ambient-light or mission-critical environments like airports, transit hubs, and lobbies. Includes SmartView+ wireless sharing.

Section 1 — First-Time Setup

Complete these steps after physical installation

Check Before Powering OnEnsure the display is mounted securely and ventilation clearance (min 10cm all sides) is maintained. Connect network before first boot for auto firmware update.

Power On & Run Setup WizardComplete the initial wizard: select language, network, and time zone (Singapore / GMT+8).

Install Firmware UpdatesMenu → Support → Software Update → Update Now
Critical first step. Do not skip.

Set Display OrientationMenu → Display → Rotate
Set to 0° (landscape) or 90° (portrait). Mismatched orientation is a common first-time issue.

Set Device NameMenu → System → Device Name
Use a meaningful name (e.g. "Lobby-QMC-01") for network identification.

Configure Auto On/OffMenu → System → Time → On/Off Timer
Set to business hours. Rated max 16 hrs/day — running 24/7 reduces panel life.

How to get content onto your display

Prepare USB DriveFormat as FAT32. Place media files (MP4, JPG, PNG) in the root folder.

Insert USB & Launch MagicInfo PlayerHome → MagicInfo Player S
Select USB as the source. Files play automatically in sequence.

Set as Default ContentConfigure MagicInfo to auto-launch on power-on for unattended playback.

What It IsSamsung VXT is a cloud-based Content Management System — create, schedule, and push content to one or many displays remotely.

Register DisplayConnect display to internet, then register it in the VXT portal at vxt.samsung.com.

Push Content RemotelyUpload media, create playlists, and schedule by time/day — changes reflect on screen within minutes.

Recommended Content FormatsVideo: MP4 (H.264/H.265), max 4K. Images: JPG or PNG at native resolution (3840×2160 for 4K displays). Avoid PowerPoint or PDF files directly — convert to images or video first for reliable playback.
