Section 1 — First-Time Setup

Complete these steps after installation before handing to users

Before You StartConnect the TV to a stable network (Ethernet preferred, or 5GHz Wi-Fi) before proceeding. Keep firmware updated — outdated firmware causes most performance issues.
⚙️ Initial Configuration Required

Power On & Complete Setup WizardFollow the on-screen wizard to select language, network, and region. Use Singapore / GMT+8.

Check & Install Firmware UpdatesMenu → Support → Software Update → Update Now
Allow the update to complete. The TV will restart automatically.

Set Display NameMenu → General → System Manager → Device Name
Name it clearly (e.g. "Lobby-TV-01") for easy identification.

Set Input SourceHome → Source
If connected to an external device (PC, media player), set the correct HDMI input as the default source.

Configure Auto On/Off ScheduleMenu → General → System Manager → Time → Sleep Timer / On Timer
Set the display to power on and off with business hours to extend lifespan.

Ethernet (Recommended)Plug LAN cable into the RJ45 port. Auto-connects.

Wi-FiMenu → General → Network → Open Network Settings
Connect to 5GHz band for stability.

Landscape or PortraitThe BEF-H supports both orientations. Set the correct mode in the menu to avoid rotated content.

Set RotationMenu → Picture → Special Viewing Mode → Rotate
Select 0° (landscape) or 90°/270° (portrait).

USB Auto-PlayInsert a USB drive with media files — the TV auto-plays on startup. Name the folder "DCIM" or use MagicInfo Player format.

Display Lifespan TipCommercial displays are rated for up to 16 hours of use per day. Running 24/7 without a scheduled off-period voids the warranty and accelerates panel degradation. Always configure an auto-off schedule aligned to business hours.

Section 4 — Troubleshooting

Common issues and how to resolve them

🚨
Factory ResetOnly as a last resort. Go to Menu → General → Reset. All settings will be wiped. Back up any scheduled content first, then contact Kubernex support.
